About the data
Each entry lists a common US English name, the scientific name, an animal group and the environments it uses. Groups such as mammal, bird or insect are everyday groupings, not strict taxonomic classes. An animal can have more than one environment: a bat is a land animal that flies, and a penguin lives on land and in the ocean.

Where does the information come from?

Can I get only animals kids know?
