Pick a random letter from A to Z, or several at once. Use presets for category games and alphabet practice.
Presets
Random Letter picks one letter from A to Z. Category Game leaves out Q, U, V, X, Y and Z, which have few answers, and keeps No repeats on for the whole game. Alphabet Practice shows three lowercase letters at a time for reading and writing drills.
Settings
Limit the pool to vowels (A, E, I, O, U) or consonants, switch between uppercase and lowercase, and tap any letter in the grid to leave it out. Fullscreen shows the letter large enough for a classroom projector.
FAQ
Can I use this for Scattergories®?
Yes. The Category Game preset picks one letter per round and leaves out Q, U, V, X, Y and Z, which have few answers. You can turn any of them back on in the Exclude letters grid.
Can I get a letter without repeats for a whole game?
Yes. Turn on No repeats. The tool lists the letters already used and starts over once the pool runs out.
Does it work on a projector?
Press Fullscreen. The letter fills the screen and the settings are hidden until you exit.
